| Notes / History | Visit to Hengelo, Holland by a delegation of sportsmen and women from Mitcham, to promote friendship between the two towns through sport. The Mitcham visitors are shown the Hengelo Town plan. During their stay they also visited the Heemaf Electric Works. A football match between the Hengelo team and the Mitcham and Tooting team was played, which was won by the Dutch team - two goals to nil. |
