| Notes / History | A first prize exhibit at the Merton Abbey Horticultural Society's Summer Show held at Sunshine Hall, Colliers Wood. Mr G.E Hicks won the Vase Gladioli Class, Speciman Bloom. The best entry came from Mr. K Phillips with a blue gloxinia plant. The judges included a member of the Merton and Morden District Council, a representative of the South East Gas Board, and Mrs. Doris Ware, a fellow of the Royal Horticultural Society. |
