| Notes / History | Mary was the widow of local farmer and landowner, Edward Rayne. Following his death in 1847, she managed their West Barnes estate with the help of her elder son, Middleton. In 1866 crippling arthritis and changing family circumstances forced her to sell the family lands tro Richard Garth, lord of the manor of Morden. |
