|Notes / History||This representation of Elizabeth I and her Ladies-in-Waiting was just one of several tableaux depicting scenes from local history, part of the Historical Pageant staged at Wimbledon Park House in 1925.
Prominent members of the community volunteered to portray the various characters. Elizabeth I was played by Mrs. Montgomery-Williams, while Lord Burghley was played by Mr. R.C Bowright. Proceeds from the Pageant were used to build a hall for Wimbledon Park.
