| Notes / History | Penny stalls and refreshment tents at Mitcham Fair held on Three Kings Piece, late 1940's / early 1950's. In addition to the rides and amusement arcades, the fair could boast an amazing range of souvenir stalls and food stands, selling everything from toys and china, to seafood, candy-floss and Mitcham Rock. The latter was a buttery confection made by stretching and twisting a melted sugar mixture over a hook. |
