| Notes / History | Henry Fowler, age 73, the last Mitcham lavender grower. By the early 20th century, many of the local lavender growers had ploughed up their fields and ceased production. Henry Fowler, was one of the last remaining growers of the crop. He continued to trade in the scented flower, long after he had ceased to grow it. |
