Notes / History Three Kings Piece takes its name from the nearby Three Kings pub.

The pond at Three Kings Piece is probably the oldest of the ponds around Mitcham Common and was probably once a village pond. It is shown on a map of 1685 as Heatherdernderry Pond.

Shortly before the First World War the pond was cleaned out, cemented and a safety rail was installed where the road passed alongside
