Notes / History Gorringe Park House (shown top right) was a vast property set in parkland and extending from Figge’s Marsh to the railway line, off Streatham Road.

Amongst the Edwardian occupants were Mr and Mrs Joseph Wilson, leading patrons of St. Barnabas Church. After their death, the house was used as an orphanage.

This rather unusual card, which probably dates from this period, provides evidence of work to support and possibly convert Jews to Christianity.
