| Notes / History | This festive scene shows the interior of Morden parish church prior to alteration. The old box pews with their folding brass candle brackets were removed during the 20th century. The pulpit, shown far left, used to be a triple deck structure and was relocated from a more westerly position following the removal of monuments on the north wall. In this picture the church has been decorated with evergreens, a symbol of fertility and everlasting life. |
