| Notes / History | The Hatfeild family lived at the Morden Hall Park estate for over 100 years. Gilliat Hatfeild and his son Gilliat Edward Hatfeild can be credited with making the park what it is today. Following the outbreak of the Great War, Gilliat Edward Hatfeild, the last owner, gave instructions that Morden Hall should be converted to a military hospital. Following his death in 1941, the Morden Hall estate was bequeathed to the National Trust. |
