Notes / History Seven Islands Pond was created by early 19th century gravel extraction, which was required for the growing number of roads.

In 2008 the pond was drained, silt removed and the islands were
re-profiled as it was in danger of drying out.

The pond is now home to lots of wild life including, dragonflies, toads, frogs and the surrounding woodland and scrub is home to many birds.
