| Notes / History | The 1960's witnessed a huge increase in the number of historic houses and stately homes open to the public, notably Longleat and Woburn Abbey. Morden Hall was already a popular attraction, having been bequeathed to the National Trust by Gilliat Edward Hatfield in 1941. |
