| Notes / History | The Doubles tournament appears to have less of the pressure attached to Singles competition. Players often display a more light-hearted approach to the game. This combination of humour and skill is very entertaining to watch and games often attract sizeable crowds. Notice the shorter tennis dresses which mimicked the popular mini-skirts of the time. |
