| Notes / History | Looking very smart, members of Mitcham Cricket Club enjoy some rest and relaxation before the annual club dinner in 1959. Pictured far left is club captain, Alf Turnbull in conversation with Laurie Fishlock. Two places to the right is Kenny More, who later played for Essex. Next to him is Eaton Swaby, Mitcham’s demon bowler, who took his 1000th wicket for the club in 1975. To the right are M.R. James and P. Batty, who become team captain in 1960. |
