| Notes / History | Up until the 1950s, it was rare for people to appear in public without a hat of some kind. The family run shop Mackie Bros, on the corner of Gladstone Road and the Broadway, did a brisk trade in stylish headwear for many years. It also sold a variety of clothing. The Wimbledon branch of Woolworth's can also be seen, picture right. |
