Notes / History Also known as Beddington Lane Halt.

The station is on the Wimbledon to West Croydon line which is now part of the Croydon Tramlink.

The view is looking towards Croydon and is still in steam days as there is no third(electric) rail.

Note that the signal is at stop and the crossing gates are shut, allowing road traffic to operate. When a train is due the signalman will stop the road traffic, open the gates for rail traffic which automatically shuts the gates to road traffic and then changes the signal into the up position which indicates a clear route to the train driver.

Note the footpath from the bottom right of the picture which crosses the track to the platform.
