| Notes / History | Work is progressing on the rebuilding of the bridge at Mitcham Junction. With one side of the bridge completed, the other half has now been demolished, and will be completely rebuilt. Our picture, taken from the railway, shows the reconstruction being carried out, with the completed bridge in the background. (Mitcham & Tooting Advertiser. 13-3-1958 Page 1.) Mitcham Junction Station was opened with the Peckham Rye to Sutton line on 1st October 1868. |
