Notes / History Originally a house, c.1801, adapted as a station with central passage way being created in 1855. It has been supposed that the Surrey Iron Railway actually ran through that central archway, but does not appear to have been true. The building has now been converted to offices. The view is of the back of the building, looking through to London Road.

With the closure of the railway and the building of Croydon Tramlink, access to the tram stop is by a path to the left of the building, as we look at it.
