| Notes / History | The company were specialist book binders and one of a number of printing and bookbinding firms operating locally during the 1950's. They had a mixed workforce and were able to employ a number of women workers, whose patience and attention to detail must surely have helped with the work involved.. In the 1930’s the company were based in Eveline Road, Mitcham. They were also involved in a copyright case in 1944 v Frank Smythson Ltd that is still quoted to this day. This photograph shows an operator collecting a pile of India paper Bibles that have been folded by machine. |
