| Notes / History | John R Chart's seed shop at the corner of Fair Green and Three Kings Pond. The shop door had a tinkling bell. It sold oats from bins, chaff and dog biscuits along with sprays of millet, packets of seed and china eggs. Tom Francis as a boy recalls it of 'we experienced great joy in making our selection from the gaily pictorical packets of garden seeds done up in penny packets and spread before us by Mrs. John.' John R. Chart was also a photographer. |
