Game, Set and Match

To celebrate the 140th anniversary of the annual Wimbledon tennis championships, Merton Heritage Service is staging a special family friendly event at Morden Library on Saturday 1 July

Between 12.30 and 1.30, young tennis enthusiasts can join us for children's crafts - make a special tennis picture frame, an indoor tennis game or design an outfit for a ball boy or girl and win a prize.

1.30 - 2.30 - Heritage Officer, Sarah Gould, will give an illustrated talk about the history of Wimbledon tennis.

2.30 - 3.30 - Join us for afternoon tea and share your tennis memories.

3.30 - 4.15: Test your knowledge of Wimbledon tennis with our tie-breaker quiz. Prizes for the highest scores.

A range of themed displays and memorabilia will also be on show and you can also find out more about the "Tennis for Free" project.
