Notes / History To avoid total uniformity, builders used different types of fitting when constructing the estate. There were five styles of porch, different door canopies and windows.

Some properties were edged with privet hedges and picket fencing, while others had low brick walls and iron gates.

Each house contained a living room, kitchenette (including a sink, drainer, cooker space, a copper for boil-washing laundry and shelving). There was also a bath, toilet, a larder, some form of dresser and a coal store.
