| Notes / History | This Floral Tableau by child dancers, was one of many tableaux depicting scenes from local history, part of the Historical Pageant staged at Wimbledon Park House in 1925. This was a three day event that included stalls and refreshments in addition to the historical plays. Money raised from the Fair was used to build a hall for Wimbledon Park. The dance was performed in the John Evelyn Gardens, named after the diarist, who visited the house in the 1600s. |
