Notes / History | River Wandle, looking upstream. Ravensbury Park is a popular local park and valuable green space for people and wildlife. The Park was opened in 1930 and is on the site of Ravensbury Manor which dates back to the 13th century. The River Wandle flows through the park and the lake and backwaters, mature trees and shrubs contribute to the rich biodiversity of the flora and fauna of the park, particularly the old London Plane trees which are over 200 years old. |
