Notes / History | Dinner dances were a popular entertainment during the 1950s. Like many local organisations, the football club held its annual gatherings at the Crown Inn in Morden. Rebuilt in 1932 as a mock Tudor pub, this venue offered a choice of bars, an off-licence and function hall, suitable for a wide range of social events. In 1961 the Crown was relocated alongside Merton Civic Centre. |
