Notes / History | George Samson and his son, Walter, ran a successful stagecoach firm, from premises to the rear of the White Hart pub (Hooden on the Green). Carriages were available from 9am each day, travelling to the City in a matter of hours. The fare was 1 shilling and sixpence (7.5p) return, or a shilling (5p) one-way. |
