Notes / History | Photograph of The Brook Path (Brook Path). It once connected Merton High Street to Station Road and contained a section of the original Priory wall, but, due to the increase of the volume of traffic, made way for Priory Road. In the background can be seen Fry’s Metal Works. You can also see the Tandem Works which is now the site of the Tandem Centre. The two works associated with this building were Eire Smelting and Fry’s Die Casting which contributed to pollution in the area. |
