| Notes / History | The arrival of a photographer always attracted a crowd of curious youngsters. While terraced homes such as these may have had a backyard containing the outside privy, space to hang laundry, store coal or house chicken or rabbit pens, there was little in the way of a garden. The limited number of cars on the roads meant that children could play safely in the streets. |
