Notes / History The site chosen for Morden Underground Station pictured in 1924. The "Crown Inn" is just visible, far right. The new station was built in 1926 in typical Art Deco Style - it was designed for the City & South London Railway (later the Northern Line, ) by architect Charles Holden. The building construction allowed for upward development, which finally happened in the 1960s, when offices were added.
