Notes / History | The Victorian period witnessed a tremendous increase in the range of household fixtures and interior decoration. Craftsmen produced large catalogues illustrating the goods available to the householder. These included furniture, doors, windows, decorative mouldings, wallpapers, carpets and lighting. Different types of glazing also became fashionable, notably stained glass, which was used for door and window panels. |
