| Notes / History | Mayor of Mitcham, Julia Ericson, was the second women to be chosen as Mayor. She had been Chairman of the Public Health Committee and member of the Housing Committee and sub- committee. Her husband, a lieutenant in the Royal Sussex Regiment, was killed in action in France, a month before the armistice. |
