Notes / History | These are from a series of circular paintings in carved frames, situated in the main gallery on the first floor of Cannizaro House, Wimbledon. They are thought to be the work of the famous artist, Angelica Kauffman. She is also said to have painted ceiling and wall murals at Lauriston House, Wimbledon, once the home of anti-slavery campaigner, William Wilberforce, but sadly this building has long since been demolished. |
