Notes / History | Bull was born in Watlington, Oxford in 1870. He was educated at Birkbeck College. Bull was the assistant librarian at Reading Public Library and Museum from 1885-1889. In 1896 he succeeded Mr T.H. Rabbitt as the Librarian of Wimbledon. He was a keen chess player and was a member of the Wimbledon Chess Club. He also received a police medal for his services during the war. He died at the age of 68 in 1939. |
