Notes / History Pollards Hill Library opened in 1970 to serve the new housing estate. The library typified the building style of the period. The large block with its extensive glazing, created a lighter, more spacious area where local readers could study or browse.
Note the ever-present symbol of the 60's, the red Austin Mini.
