Notes / History | The Queen's Head was built in the late 1830s. It lies within a conservation area opposite Mitcham Cricket Green, which is believed to be the oldest cricket green in the country. The sport is said to have been played there since the 1690s, even once attracting Admiral Lord Nelson as a spectator. |
