Notes / History | The King's Arms is mentioned in the Parish Records of 1787, and is traditionally associated with the Mitcham Fair, as it is said that rents for the Fair's stalls were settled here due to its proximity to the Fair Green. It was a Young's Pub from 1885 onwards, although the original timber building had to be demolished and rebuilt in about 1906 to accommodate the widening of London Road. |
