| Notes / History | Marjorie Meadows, aged fifteen, was crowned Mitcham Merrie England May Queen for 1961. Due to rain, the crowning ceremony had to be held indoors at the Welcome Hall, Bond Road, instead of the traditional venue at Cricket Green, where the flower decorated dais remained empty. |
