The World Radio Jamboree, or Jamboree of the Air, is still an annual Scouting tradition, held on the third weekend in October. It is the largest event scheduled by the World Organisation of the Scouting Movement, and involves Scouts around the world learning amateur radio skills, so they can contact each other over the airwaves. |
