| Notes / History | Mitcham fair (1925), opening ceremony on 12th August 1935. A crowd gathered at the steps of Tom Norman’s sideshow. The fair was the first to be held after Mitcham became a borough. It was opened by the mayor, Alderman J. Fitch accompanied by Bertram Mills, of circus fame. |
