| Notes / History | Children's outing to Littlehampton. For many years, local children made an annual visit to the coast, paid for by local firms, schools and charities. Travelling in a large convoy of coaches, or charabancs, the children were treated to all the delights of the seaside, from fun on the beach, to strolls on the promenades and visits to the local fun fair. |
