Notes / History | A view of Mitcham Fair in about 1890, taken from James Drewett’s house “Ravensbury”, which stood on the corner of St. Mark’s road and Upper Green East. The old pump can be seen in the fore ground. At night the fair was lit by “Naptha Flair Lamps”, ‘noisy, smelly and crude’. |
