Notes / History | "Baby Godiva and Peeping Tom," a creative interpretation of Lady Godiva, in a procession in the third Mitcham carnival and fete, held on the 18th June 1938 to raise funds for the Wilson Hospital, Mitcham. Over 25,000 people watched the parade which attracted a good number of entrants, and which was part of a seven hour long programme of entertainments and events held at Mitcham Stadium. |
