Notes / History | Pollards Hill is now a residential district crossing the boundaries of the London Boroughs of Sutton and Merton. In 1968-71 the Pollards Hill estate was built within the Merton boundary. This is a high density, low rise housing estate which includes areas of green space such as gardens and public parks, Donnelly Green, named after Head of Parks for Mitcham, and Pollards Hill Recreation Ground. The estate also contains a wide range of community facilities including a library, community centre, youth centre and a neighbourhood police station. The path leading up Pollards Hill provides good views. |
