Notes / History | Anne was the eldest daughter of William Thackeray. She was a writer in her own right. Her first publication was in the Cornhill Magazine in 1860. From 1862 to 1913 she wrote around 30 novels, often collaborating with Richardson Evans. Her novels included Bluebeard’s Keys and other Stories and Blackstick Papers. She married her cousin Richmond Richie and they lived in Wimbledon at Kingston Lodge. |
