| Notes / History | Members of Mitcham Athletic Club assembled for their Club Dinner. Once based at Park Place (now a Beefeater restaurant). The Club was founded in the early 1920's, were in 1938 took part in the News of the World London to Brighton relay and trained a number of local, national and international medalwinners, including Brian Hewson (3rd from left) and Dorothy Tyler (front row far left). The club's success can be seen from the dazzling collection of silverware proudly displayed. |
