Notes / History | The Berkeley Teetotal Society was set up on the 1st June 1893 by Priscilla Pitt, a Quaker who lived with her husband George, a successful local draper who lived in Berkeley Cottage, Lower Mitcham. The Teetotal Society was very popular and offered an attractive range of social activities including speakers and trips like this excursion to Brighton. |
