Notes / History | Ingram Cobbin, 1777 – 1851, was born in London and educated in the Congrational Ministry at the Hoxton Academy. He worked in several places including Putney and Lymington but had to retire due to ill health in 1828. On retirement the Rev Cobbin moved back to Camberwell where he wrote several commentaries on the scriptures as well as hymns such as “A throne of grace, then let us go” |
