| Notes / History | Members of St. Helier Girls’ Choir give a concert at Central Hall, Morden. (This was presumably the Methodist Central Hall on Green Lane, which doubled as a local entertainment venue for the St. Helier Estate). A wide range of concerts, recitals and drama was staged here during the 1930s and 1950s. The St. Helier Girls Choir developed a fine reputation for the quality of its performances. The musical ensemble made regular appearances at local fetes, school events and community venues. |
