| Notes / History | Fielding practice at Cricket Green is still a common sight on one of the world’s oldest grounds. Mitcham has fine cricketing traditions to uphold. For many years the local club has worked hard to develop the skills and enthusiasm of young players. Regular coaching sessions are held each summer. Here Mitcham Club Captain (1957-9 and 1963) Alf Turnball can be seen offering some expert advice to local lads. |
