| Notes / History | On 17 July 1946, two Dutch International Korfball teams met for a match in Mitcham, watched by members of the Anglo-Netherlands Sports Association. This led to the formation of the Mitcham Korfball Club in July 1946. By 1948 it had entered two teams in the London League but it was during the 1950s that the Club enjoyed major success, under the captaincy of Rudi Muller. During the next fifteen years Mitcham secured five cup championships and nine league championships. |
